1943-1973: 30 years in Advertising, Sales, Management Consulting, Marketing Research; Founder & General Manager of Bantam Books' profitable Premium Ventures Division.
1973-1981: Proprietor of The Assemblage, Richmond Hill, NY; dealing in Antiques, Rare Books & Graphics; liquidated to "retire" early and better pursue various creative interests.
1979: Solo Exhibition @ Project Studios One (PS One), Long Island City, NY: assemblages, collages, photographs, Electroworks, personal documents and poetry-on-the-wall.
1981-1982: Workshop Room Assemblage in Artists Make Art exhibition @ Queens Museum, Flushing, NY; successfiil educational experiment for children 9-12, extended to 6 months.
1985: Objects of Affection: Solo show @ the Catskill Gallery of the Greene County Arts Council; including 200 assemblages, collages, photographs, prints and haikupage poems on the walls.
1986-1988: wrote and printed 3 limited editions of and about poetry: The Literary Aerobics Cookbook (how to write a poem or let a poem write "you"), Mingles, and poet in residence, Oak Hill.
1988-1989: Solo show, A Family of Things, at Catskill Gallery of The Greene County Arts Council; including 200 recent assemblages, collages, photos, Xerographic prints, and haikupage poems.
1989: Wrote and hand-printed Objects of Affection, a depth study of the "Dada" concepts at the heart of the 1985 exhibition; defining assemblages and collages as forms of "objective poetry".
1989: Transferred Urban Problems show @ Woodstock Photography Center: "abstract" images from 10-year Nikon 55mm close-up study of stuff found in dumps, around scrap yards and junk heaps and of peeling billboards around edges of Queens and Brooklyn, NY, Hoboken, NJ and Norwich, CT, etc.
1991 :opened The Assemblage, own art gallery in Oak Hill, NY; showing own works of assemblage, collage and photography; conducted experimental Creative Workshops for small groups.
1992: Won NYSCA grant for collaborative Text + Image Advertising Arts Project. Finished exhibit materials banned by Greene County Arts Council Directors for supposed "political" reasons.
1993: Solo show of 40 assemblages at Smithy-Pioneer Gallery, Cooperstown, NY. Curated and showed own works in An Assemblage of Assemblers show @ Greene County Arts Council Gallery.
1997: Produced under the poeTree, a collection of own poems about poems, poetry & poets. Perfected rules for the new card game of Quarrel, a fast new form of Bridge for 2 or 4 players (camera-ready).
1998: Solo show of Assemblages, Collages & Photographs @ Greenville, NY Library Gallery. Co-produced 30-minute video documentary about The Assemblage and own diverse art works.
2000: Solo Playthings exhibition of Assemblages & Antique Doll Portraits @ Catskill Cultural Center, Arkville, NY. One of 4 artists in Storytellers show @ Greene County Arts Council, Catskill, NY. 2003: Edited & printed 2 books of poems: Third Avenue Flat and new Poet in residence, Oak Hill.
2006 May 2 to June 10: Exhibition - Objects of Poetry, a solo exhibition at Albany Center Galleries, Albany, New York.
